International arts research and cultural exchange program

In-Habit International is an exciting arts research and cultural exchange program began in 2010 by Punctum. Each year over the next 3 years, Punctum will cover travel and accommodation costs with a combined worth of up to $4000 for 4 Victorian artists seeking to work in regional contexts internationally.

In-Habit International is partnered by Abbotsford Convent, 'The Capital' - Bendigo's Performing Arts Centre, and the Latrobe Visual Arts Centre and receives funding through Arts Victoria's International Programs.


 

In-Habit is a pilot project that began in 2007 bringing together Punctum and the Abbotsford Convent to develop an arts research and cultural exchange program.

As part of the intial phase of this project, artists associated with Punctum were in residence at the Abbotsford Convent throughout 2009, researching site/place/space and cultural exchange. In-Habit in 2010 was a season of eleven live art and performance events resulting from this residency.

Dates: Feb 3rd to Feb 28th 2010

Events of this unique season took place within the Convent and across the City of Yarra include installation, durational performance, live art, dance, public forums, an intimate two participant experience, soundscape, vocal performance, tours and a shop.
